Robert Brian Erlich, 68, of Southeast Virginia passed away quietly and peacefully Friday, February 20th, 2026. He is survived by his wife, best friend and partner of 45 years, Sara L. Erlich. In addition, he is survived by his beloved four-legged friends Aspen and Vail. He is predeceased in death by his parents Berl and Carole Erlich.

Before retirement Robert was president of a commercial real estate company and an interior construction company in Northern Virginia.

Robert lived life to the fullest. He was a rule breaker and risk taker who rarely took “NO” for an answer. Robert did not allow the grass to grow underneath his feet, loving life to the fullest.

He was an avid Redskins fan, remaining loyal to the team throughout the good and the bad. In his years Robert spent many times fishing even traveling to Cuba to participate in a fishing tournament. He enjoyed golf, playing at many beautiful courses throughout the United States. In his early days he loved snow skiing, spending time at a variety of slopes in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Robert also loved to scuba dive, often enjoying the waters of the Caribbean.

Robert loved his many friends. He attended Old Dominion University and was a member of TKE fraternity, maintaining close relationships over the years. In addition, he attended Langley High School and Howie Academy where again he maintained long term friendships. His friends were his family.

Robert was fun, funny and everyone knew where they stood with him. He will be greatly missed, but the memories that many shared with him will go on and on forever. A celebration of life will be held at the end of March.

Donations to your local chapter of the American Heart Association in his name would be lovely. Online condolences may be registered at www.littlesfuneralhome.com
