Donald Thomas Sixkiller Sr.

Donald Thomas Sixkiller, Sr. was born on October 1, 1944. On September 2, 2023, while surrounded by his family, he was reunited with his loved ones in heaven. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Darlene Blissett Sixkiller, and two sons, Donald, Jr. (Amy) and Darren (Emily). His most prized possessions were his four grandchildren, Caitlin McPherson (Jimmy), James Sixkiller, Ashley Sixkiller, and Sarah Sixkiller, and his great granddaughter Paisley Lorraine. He also had two loving sister-in-laws, Susie Magee (Eugene) and Patty Walter (Kenny), along with so many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews that he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine Jacobs Sixkiller, and father, Jesse "Buster" Martin Sixkiller, along with his loving grandmother Corinne Jacobs. He will be missed by so many. His dog Roxy will especially miss giving her dad hugs and kisses. Don retired from Dixie Mill Supply about 16 years ago. Before that, he was a founding member of The Nobles, where he played keyboard and bass. He also worked part-time for the cruise lines and played as an extra in movies and television. A little over a year ago, he was diagnosed with cancer and fought it to the end. We would like to thank the many doctors and nurses that assisted in making him comfortable throughout his entire journey. We would also like to thank all of our family, friends, and neighbors. We could not get through this time without them. There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial on September 16th , 2023, at Williams Funeral Home in Pearl River. Visitation will take place from 10:00am – 12:30pm and the memorial service will begin at 12:30pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
