Donald Raymond Slavens, known affectionately as Don to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, in Evansville, IN, at the age of 63. Born on March 3, 1962, in Terre Haute, IN, Don's life was marked by his love for the outdoors, his passion for music, and the joy he brought to those around him.

Don grew up in the heart of Indiana, where he developed an early appreciation for the beauty of nature. His childhood was filled with adventures in the great outdoors, which laid the foundation for a lifetime of exploration and admiration for the world around him. As he matured, his love for music became a defining feature of his life, providing a soundtrack to the many memories he created with friends and family.

Throughout his life, Don was known for his kind heart, his infectious laugh, and his ability to make everyone feel like they were the most important person in the room. He had a talent for listening, truly listening, to the stories and experiences of others, which endeared him to many. His presence was a source of comfort and happiness to those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Donald Raymond Slavens will be dearly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him. Your journey may have ended, but your story will continue to be told with warmth and affection.
