Donald E. "Donnie" Smith Jr., age 53, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023. He is a Hamilton High School graduate, class of 1989. Donnie loved race cars, softball, and sports. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald E. Smith Sr. Donnie is survived by his mother, Karen Angel; lifetime partner, Nicole Evans; children, Ashley Smith, Zane Smith, and Donald E. Smith III; granddaughter, Mia Smith; siblings, Chad Smith, Nicole Angel, Tara Angel, Megan (Tyler) Maxwell, and Stephanie (Ryan Wright) Duty;step-mother, Jackie Smith; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and family. Visitation will be Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 5 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. South Chapel, 1346 S. High St. in Columbus, OH. Pastor Guiles Richardson officiating.

Oh our Lord on High, bless the family and friends of this young man. He is now at peace in the arms of Jesus. May those same arms wrap his family in love and comfort as they navigate through life without their beloved. Family and friends please know there are more good people in the world than bad, and we love you as complete strangers.

Im so sorry to here of his passing and pray that his family will know that ordinary People care and feel and share in the pain of his passing May God share his healing love and know his passing was not in vain
