Donald Eugene Sorrell

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Eugene Sorrell, who departed this life on December 12, 2025, surrounded by the love and warmth of his family. Born on March 17, 1932, in Camden, Ohio, Donald was the cherished son of Cecil and Opal Sorrell. 

A diligent and dedicated worker, Donald spent over 31 years at General Motors before turning his passion for farming into a lifelong commitment. His hands tended to the land and nurtured a variety of animals, including his beloved donkeys. He found joy in camping adventures and shared many cherished moments as an avid coon hunter. Yet, the greatest treasure to Donald was always his family, who remained his anchor throughout life’s journey. 

Donald is survived by his devoted wife of 73 wonderful years, Joan (Lambert) Sorrell, along with his loving children, Regina “Susie” Gregg and Brenda Kimble, and a multitude of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren who were fortunate to call him family. He also leaves behind special friends Brandon and Perry and countless other friends and relatives whose lives he touched. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved son Robert Sorrell, and his siblings, who await his arrival in eternal peace. 

In honoring Donald’s legacy, family and friends are invited to gather at Lynch Family Funeral Home, located at 124 East High Street, London, Ohio 43140, for a visitation on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM, followed by interment at Deercreek Township Cemetery.
