Donald Henry Starling

Donald Henry Starling passed away on March 26th, 2026 at the age of 89. He is preceded in death by his parents John Henry and Geneva Eveley Starling, his Grandparents Floyd and Daisy Hogan and his brother Rodney Starling. Frank is survived by Carole Starling, his wife of 73 years and the light of his life. He is also survived by his daughter Donna Rosenthaul (Stan); grandchildren Tony Zimlich (Brandi), Regina Touche(Touche) and Andrew Zimlich(Renee); 8 great- grandchildren and siblings Barbara Glasscock(Richard) and Rodney Starling. Donald was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church for 63 years. He worked as a cooper for Bluegrass Cooperage for 34 years; he was also an HVAC technician his whole life. He was an avid golfer, bowler and lover of animals and nature. He especially loved his dog John Henry. His family would like to extend a special thank you to Mykayla from Louisville Home Health. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hosperus of Louisville and St. Jude’s. A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
