Donald (Don) Ray Stewart, 75, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away peacefully Monday, October 21, 2024. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona September 27, 1949 to Harold Stewart and Ola Jean (Jones McKisson) Stewart Fabie.
Don was an Army Veteran of Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather Greg Fabie; sisters Penny Vest, Cheryl Ann "Annie" Schermerhorn; and brother Harold L. Stewart.
Don is survived by his loving and devoted wife Carla Stewart; daughter Kristi Stewart; grandson Nash Scroggins; sister Karen (Ken) Dobbe; stepsister Cathy (Scott) McDevitt; stepbrother Greg (Joya) Fabie; along with a host of nieces and nephews and not to forget extended family and friends.
Don retired from Horton Dry Wall along with other accomplishments as a truck driver, mechanic, licensed boat captain, scuba instructor, youth baseball coach, security, MMA fighting, coaching youth at Danny Dring's Living Defense Martial Arts and earning his black belt in Taekwondo plus brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
Everlasting love, always remembers, never forgotten.
The family would like to thank the staff in the palliative and hospice care unit at John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital who gave comfort to Don in his final days.
A family-hosted celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 26 at 10:30am at Graves Memorial Baptist Church; 4617 Oak Grove Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118. Casual Dress.
Interment will be held on Wednesday, October 30th at 1:00pm at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
