Donald Ray Stringer, 66, was born on November 24, 1955 in Mobile, Alabama to Johnny Stringer and Maggie Bell Stringer. Donald was born and raised in Mobile Alabama. He departed life on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 after his battle with serious medical issues within recent years. Despite the pain, Donald showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. In the end he came off a hero and stayed strong until the end.
Donald is a pastor at Set Free Indeed Ministries that he co-pastors with his wife Apostle Patricia Stringer. Donald retired from the United States Army after several years of active duty. As a United States Army Veteran, Donald continued serving his country as a supervisor within the Army Corp for more than 30 plus years. A husband, son, father, brother, grandpa, mentor and beloved friend to many, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bishop Donald Stringer is survived by the loving community of Milton and his wife Apostle Patricia Stringer; mother, Maggie Bell Stringer; two sons, Alexander (Shawn) Horn and Donald Ray Stringer Jr.; one daughter, Lavonda (Santai) Horn; three step-daughters: Lakenya (Erasmus) Foster, Latoyia Foster and Mary (William) Gregory; sisters: Johnnie F. Stallworth, Melvina (Anwar) El-Ann, Jacquline Lucy and Gwendolyn Stringer; brother Jerry Stringer; 17 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and one God baby; two God daughters: Jennie Abrams and Nelsina Warren, along with a host of many other spiritual children; special mentions: Richard (Shana) Darko and Frank (Nigeria) Chinemerem, being his spiritual children of Africa. We would also like to take the time to honor Bishop Parker, Pastor Hattie McClain and Prophet Frank Haslem, Pastor Samual L. Hayes (his spiritual father).
Donald is preceded in death by his father Johnny Stringer and sister Annie Pearl Stringer. Bishop Donald Ray Stringer will forever be loved and cherished. We will always remember a strong and faithful man of God, loving husband to his wife. Service will be Monday, April 4, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton. Immediately after service will be burial at: final resting spot: Barrancas National Cemetery 1 Cemetery Road Pensacola, FL 32508 Please join the family for repast fellowship: Santa Rosa County Auditorium 4530 Spikes Way Milton, FL 32583.
