Margaret Stringer Obituary
Peg was preceded in death by her parents Evan and Pauline Fellman and is survived by her husband, Sam, sister Joanne Fleming, daughters Sherrie Brewer (Scott), Cindy Morris (Mark), Jan Davis (Josh), and grand-children Justin Brewer (Kelli), Emily Hawes (Sam), Jonathan Brewer (Valerie), Betsy Hill (John), Kristin Frazier (Will), Kelly Irvine (John), and Lauren Albertine (Philip) and 18 wonderful great grand-children.
Peg was born on August 16,1934 in Allentown, PA. She and Sam met at Memphis' East High School. After graduating from college, she and Sam married at Second Presbyterian Church in 1955 and remained active members all their lives. They recently celebrated 70 years of marriage. Peg came to know her Savior and Lord Jesus through her years there and in women's Bible study groups. Peggy's love for babies first expressed itself as a teen serving at an orphanage, and later in the church nursery. Peg savored memories from three mission trips: one to Ukraine; as well as to visit and serve with daughter Cindy, Mark and the girls in both South Africa and Afghanistan.
Peg enjoyed golfing with Sam, playing competitive tennis locally, and singing with her sister in the acapella group, Sweet Adelines, for several years. "Grandmom" was known for her fun-loving ways and selfless dedication to each of us. Her heart was her faith, her family and her friends, and her lasting legacy will always be cherished by us all.
There will be a visitation in the Salmon Room at Second Presbyterian Church, on Monday,12/1 at 10:00 AM with a memorial service following in the chapel at 11:00 AM.

The family requests that memorials in Peg's honor be sent to Second Presbyterian Church General Fund or The Refugee Fund Memphis.
