Concord, North Carolina - Mr. Donald S. Tadlock, 74, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

A funeral service is scheduled for 12:30 pm Monday, January 5, 2026, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Mike Roper, Pastor Thant McManus and Apostle Belton Platt will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:00 pm Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Donnie was born April 22, 1951 in Charlotte. He was a son of the late Ellis Vincent Tadlock and Barbara Ann Glover Tadlock. He graduated from Olympic High School in 1970. He later graduated from CPCC with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. He retired from Carolina Handling in Charlotte after 40 years. Most recently, Donnie worked with Hendrick Motors in Huntersville. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Wayne Deese; and twin sister, Donna Theresa Barnes.

Donnie is survived by his wife, Gloria Jean Roper Tadlock; two daughters, Deborah Jean Lambert of Bolivia, NC and Gina Lynn Basinger of China Grove; daughter-in-law, April Deese of Bayboro, NC; two brothers, Vincent Eugene Tadlock and wife (Cynthia) and Ronald Dale Tadlock and wife Debbie, all of Mooresville; aunt, Martha Tadlock of Charlotte; three grandchildren, Timothy Ryan Deese, Andrew Douglas Lambert and Ashlynn Brooke Beam; four nieces and nephews and eight great nieces and nephews.
