TALBOT, Donald L.- age 92, of Fenton, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 11:00 am at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, MI 48430, with Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. Interment will follow the service in Tyrone Memory Gardens. There will be visitation from 9:00 am until time of the service. Those desiring to make contributions in Donald’s memory may do so to the charity of their choosing.
Donald was born on Sept 13, 1933 in Ann Arbor, the son of Leonard G. and Edith (Cunningham) Talbot. After graduating high school he joined the Navy where he served during the final days of the Korean War. He then earned his bachelors degree in business from Michigan State University. He retired from General Motors-Chevy V8 Division where he worked as a supervisor. Donald enjoyed fishing and the outdoors, he enjoyed working on houses and renovating them and earned the nickname “Mr. Fix It”’. He also was a fan of his alma mater, especially MSU football and basketball.
He is survived by his children, son Christopher Talbot (Kelly) of Rye, NH, daughter Kelly Leavy (Tony Warren) of Fenton, MI and son-in-law Stephen McDonald; 7 grandchildren: Molly Eisworth (Eric), Kathryn Knolton (Michael), Samuel McDonald, Jaxson McDonald, Zachary Talbot, Annabel Talbot and Grace Talbot; and one great granddaughter Halle Jo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joanne M. (Charron) Talbot; his daughter Julie McDonald, a sister Betty, and four brothers Bob, Jim, Ron and Mike. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
