Graveside services for Donald Ray Thomas, age 72 will be held at 12 Noon Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Morringsport Memorial Gardens in Morringsport, LA with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA.
Mr. Thomas was born July 30, 1952 in Coushatta, Louisiana to Ray Wilson Thomas and Nellie Mitchell Thomas and passed away on July 31, 2024 in Texarkana, Texas. He proudly served our country in the United State Army. Mr. Thomas was a retired machinist from Coastal Naval Base, Panama City Beach, Florida after 33 years of service. He was an avid sports fan with the LSU Tigers being his favorite football team. He was devoted to John Hagee Ministries for many years. Mr. Thomas was affectionately called “Rudy” by his closest friends.
Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Wilson Thomas and Nellie Mitchell Thomas; brother, Kenneth Wayne Thomas; sisters, Dorothy Canterbury and Carolyn Perry; daughter, Kelly Marie Thomas and son, Glen Allen Thomas.
Those left to cherish is memory are his son, Wesley J. Thomas; 3 grandchildren: Jason Thomas, Madison Thomas and Christian Thomas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
