Mr. Donald Dewitt Thornton Jr.

Donald Dewitt Thornton Jr., of Tampa, FL, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Gregory Mason, Pastor of House of Restoration Inc., Officiating and Dr. Antonio R. Hawkins, Eulogist, Senior Pastor of Exciting Faith Alive Church.

Donald was born on July 5, 1980, to Aubrey Wright and Donald D. Thornton, Sr. He was educated in the Hillsborough County school system. He later followed his passion for cooking, building a career as a chef in a variety of restaurants across the Tampa Bay area.

He was preceded in death by: his Father, Donald Dewitt Thornton, Sr.; Grandfather, Roland Jones; and Grandmother, Mamie Bradham.

He leaves to cherish his memories: three children, Nyliah Clark Thornton, Domerious Thornton and Donald D.
