Donald L. Weimer, 85, of East McKeesport, died Sunday January 11, 2026, at home. He was born September 24, 1940 in Melcroft, a son of the late George and Olive Ruth (Miller) Weimer. He was an Army veteran and retired from Mellon Bank where he worked in telecommunications. He was a baseball fan and attended the Pirate opener for 34 years. He planned the annual family reunion for his 14 siblings and their families, enjoyed traveling, music, and drawing. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by siblings Doris Buckley, Betty Rogers, Ruth Sarver, Pauline Meyers, Albert Weimer, and Wesley Weimer. He is survived by his wife of over 64 years, Bertha L. (Buckley) Weimer; his children Cheryl Wegert, Michele (Ron) Kremer, and Allyn (Stacey) Weimer; his grandchildren; Joseph (Heather) Wegert, Benjamin Wegert, Lauren (Josh) Winters, Micah Wegert, Joshua Wegert, Owen Kremer, Garrett Kremer, and Jordan Weimer; his great grandchildren Kai, Augie, Averi, Acacia, Micah, Eleana, Ainsley, and Anna Wegert and Jonah and Naomi Winters; siblings Carol (Marc) Robb, Judy Hodge, Twila (Richard) Adduhl, Charlotte Galbraith, Mary McDermott, Ronald Weimer, Shirley (Rodney) McCray, and Bonnie Hawkins; also many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, at the Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home, 1032 Broadway Ave., East McKeesport, where a funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. For online condolences please visit www.snyderfuneralservices.com.
