Donald R. Weimer

Donald R. Weimer, Sr., 84, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 8, 2026. He was born February 25, 1942, in South Greensburg, a son of the late John and Theresa Attenberger Weimer. Before retirement, Don was employed at the Boeing Corporation in Long Beach, California, where he was a member of Local 9 Ironworkers. He was proud to have traveled around the country working on landmarks such as the National Cathedral in Washington, DC, and on bridges throughout the country. Don loved the outdoors and nature, especially hunting, fishing, and mowing his lawn on his riding mower. He was a Steelers fan and enjoyed sharing family history with anyone who would listen. The most important thing to Don was his love for his family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Sharon Eachus Weimer, and his last wife, Marylyn, in August 2004; sisters Elizabeth Weimer, Eileen Logan, Gazella Yomnick, and Shirley Breeze; and brothers Jack, Richard, and Robert Weimer. Don is survived by his children: Donald R. (Lori) Weimer, Jr., of Reading; Aaron P. (Jorgie Jacobs) Weimer, of Greensburg; Keith A. (Patti) Shanks, of Georgetown, Texas; Chevelle M. (William) Kasavage, of Lower Burrell; and Lisa (Jamie) Roundtree, of Champaign, Illinois; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; stepchildren Michele J. Thomas, of Mt. Pleasant, Michael Shean, of Greensburg, Richard Marinucci, of Mt. Pleasant, and Victor D. Marinucci, of Mt. Pleasant; several step-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Frederick Breeze; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Barnhart Funeral Home, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. Private interment will be in Hillview Cemetery, Greensburg.
