Williamsburg-Donald Dean Wille was born on the family farm June 23, 1934, in York Township, Iowa County, Iowa. The son of Adolf and Minnie (Wardenburg) Wille. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School. Donald was united in marriage to Delaine Lorenz on May 30, 1954 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was a life long farmer, farming the home place until he retired in 1990 when they moved to Williamsburg. He enjoyed playing cards, going for drives and attending their grandchildren’s activities. Donald passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026, at the Highland Ridge Care Center in Williamsburg at the age of 91 years.
He is survived by his children, Barbara (Gary) Hopp of Williamsburg, Connie (Greg) Von Ahsen of Millersburg and Jeff (Linda) Wille of Williamsburg; six grandchildren, Haley Hopp, Ashley (Brad) Peterson, Sarah (Shannon) Plaht, Nathan Wille, Tyler Wille and Kaitlin Wille; two great grandchildren, Liam Peterson and Chelsie Plaht; two step grandchildren, Eva (Chris) Lutz and Amanda (Marshall) Ritchie and a sister-in-law Dolores Wille of Williamsburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Delaine, brothers, Eldon Wille and Adolf Wille and sisters, Gertrude Drueker and Luella Brockshus.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church near Williamsburg. Burial will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday for 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. A memorial fund has been established for Immanuel Lutheran Church or Lutheran Interparish School.
