LINCOLN
Donald Dean Wolting, 94, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024 in Salina, KS. He was born October 10, 1930 in Lincoln County, KS to Adolph and Irene (Wiegert) Wolting. Donald was a 1949 graduate of Lincoln High School and was a lifetime resident of Lincoln County where he farmed and was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church. He served stateside in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Lincoln VFW Post 7928. Donald loved to hunt and fish. He had a knack for fishing, teaching many people the art over the years. He also enjoyed playing cards with his card playing crew, visiting the casino to play slots, and cooking for friends and family.
Donald is survived by his daughter Angela Haag (Daniel) of Salina and granddaughter Ariana Haag of Lone Tree, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ralph Lee Wolting and niece Stacey Tappan.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 9, 2024 at St. John Lutheran Church, Lincoln.
