Donald L Young

Donald L. Young, age 91,of Wyandotte, passed away October 19, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Katherine. Loving father of Alan Young and Karen (Norman) Ansara. Dear brother of Betty Schantz, Margie Sshantz, the late Jim Young and the late John Young. Grandfather of Rachel (David) Nieman, Jeannie (Pat) Freeman, Alan Young Jr., and Marie Young. Great grandfather of Cash Freeman, Jace Freeman and Mason Morton. Donald retired from McClouth Steel after 30 years of employment. After retirement he kept busy earning his GED, going to school for HVAC learning small motor repair and working at Henry Ford Museum. Donald was a car enthusiast and loved watching old westerns. One of his greatest passions was music. He played bass in bluegrass gospel groups. Above all Donald was a Christian who loved the Lord.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 5pm until his service at 7pm at Heritage Funeral Home, 15748 Fort St., Southgate, MI.
