Donalyn Della Huyler

Known to all who had the privilege as Doni, Donalyn Huyler surrendered to our Lord on Friday, July 19, 2024. She exited this world from Hillcrest of Loveland, where she had resided since 2013, surrounded by her daughters and under the caring and watchful eyes of Canyon Hospice. Doni was born December 13, 1933 to parents, Donald and Margaret Braendle, and older brother, Larry Braendle, who all have been awaiting her arrival in the Father's Kingdom. Donalyn graduated from Portland High School in 1952, Western Michigan University in 1956 with a degree in teaching.
The wedding to her love, Bill Huyler, was on June 23, 1956 in Portland and lived in Greenville where they built their family of three daughters, Marilee, Kara Jayne, and Stacy Ann, along with thriving careers. Doni taught school at Baldwin Heights Elementary in Greenville, raised her girls, and developed lasting friendships with her neighbors, coworkers, and golfing buddies.
The 'West' was calling when the Huyler family packed up their belongings and moved to Colorado in 1970. Again, making the most that life had to offer, Doni secured a teaching position at Monroe Elementary in Loveland, nurtured her 3 daughters, and created treasured relationships with everyone who orbited her for even a minute. Her career made a shift in the fall of 1980 when she went to work for Zander-Blauser Handwriting as a sales representative and educational mentor. She finished her working career in the field of promoting education and teaching teachers.
Having a passion for life that fueled her with boundless energy Doni enjoyed golfing, skiing, outdoor adventures with her family, cooking, entertaining, telling jokes, and taking trips. She was willing to do almost anything if it was with people or for people. She just loved people and the people she touched couldn't't help but feel the love she had for them.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are daughters Marilee (Huyler) Bergstrom and husband Robert(Buck) of Ft Lupton, Kara Huyler and husband Randy Weller of Custer SD, and Stacy Huyler-Fisher of Estes Park: 6 loving grandchildren Alyeska Fisher, Kassila Fisher, Torah Fisher, Isabella Fisher-Marshall, Adrial Fisher, and Gabriella Fisher: and 1 blessed great grandchild Sawyer Marshall: 3 nieces Julie Zanutta, Jane Sauerman, and Jill Braendle: close friends David and Laurie O'Brien, along with many others who are forever blessed with her love for them.
Memorial service and fellowship reception will be held for Donalyn Huyler on Saturday, August 3 at 11 am.
