Mary Louise Harem

Mary Louise Harem passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, at age 87. She was surrounded by her daughter Susan, granddaughter Kaylee, and great grandchildren Camren, Carsen, and Alina. Mary was born on March 14, 1938, to Jean Baptist and Martina Sorhouet. She grew up in the small mining town of Tonopah, Nevada, the youngest of four children (brothers Martin and John and sister Frances). In the mid 1950's, David Harem was a young air force man who was stationed in Tonopah. Mary was smitten when she saw David get off the bus as he arrived in Tonopah, and sure enough, the two were married on July 7, 1957. They were married nearly 60 years when Dave passed away in February 2017.

Mary is survived by her six children, Cheryl (Rod), Debbie (Joe), Steve (Sandy), Linda (Joe), Susan, and Brian, and a whopping 40 grand and great grandchildren, plus one more great granddaughter who will arrive soon.

When Dave was in the air force, the family lived in a number of states until they ended up in California, where they stayed for 35 years. After Dave retired, Dave and Mary moved to Loveland, Colorado, where they lived the rest of their lives. Mary loved spending time with family, having lunch with her friends, shopping, gardening, and reading. She will be dearly missed.
