Donna Aunchman Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Mrs. Donna Six Aunchman's recent passing.
Donna was a well-loved teacher, mentor, friend, and cherished family member of our close-knit community. She dedicated 49 years of her life to education, touching countless lives with her passion for learning and her commitment to nurturing young minds. Her death has left a void in our lives, but the impact she had on everyone who was lucky enough to know her lives on.
A Celebration of Life event is scheduled for this Thursday, August 17th, at 5:00 PM at Anastasia Baptist Church on the Island - 1650 SR-A1A, Saint Augustine, FL 32080. This location holds a special significance, as it is where Donna continued to touch lives through her devotion to teaching and sharing the love of Christ. There will be light refreshments after the 1 hour service.
As a way to share the joy she brought to our lives, we invite you to send your treasured memories and/or photographs with Donna. Your contributions will help us create a collage of moments that truly reflect the joy and inspiration she brought to all of us. Please send your memories and photos to [email protected].
Since her passing, we have begun to hear lovely stories from former students and are receiving many beautiful pictures. Thank you!!
Your presence at the event would mean a great deal to our family. If you are unable to attend but would like to contribute a photograph or message, please send them our way. Your stories and well-wishes are a source of comfort and strength during this time.
As an alternative to sending flowers, she specifically asked us all to consider donating to the Anastasia Baptist Church 4Generations program. Your contribution will play a significant role in continuing to positively impact the next generation.
Let's remember Donna for the light she brought into our lives and so many others in our community. In coming together to celebrate her impact and commemorate her lasting legacy, may we find peace and gratitude for the moments we shared with her. Thank you for your love, support, and presence as we honor a truly remarkable woman.

Donna was my freshman college roommate, a true inspiration even at age 18. We've crossed paths multiple times as we both rose through the public education system. Her faith and devotion to teaching and to Christ were evident in all she endeavored. Love to the family, JoAnne Courson Beckner

From a very young age it was apparent that Donna would give of herself to improve lives through her faith and kindness. We were very close friends in our younger years but drifted apart after high school as many of us do. Now reading her life story and seeing that she always devoted herself to others does not surprise me. She was always smiling and sharing her strong Christian faith. Thank you Donna for all you have given and for making such a difference in so many lives. You will be missed but never forgotten.
