Donna Lynn Bailey, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on September 3, 2024, at the age of 65. She was born in Indianapolis on February 9, 1959, to John Ladd, Sr. and Myrtle (Branham) Ladd. Donna dedicated over 40 years to Marsh Grocery Stores as a Bakery Manager before their closing. She then continued her career as a Bakery Manager at Meijer from 2017 to 2023.
Donna was known for her kindhearted, selfless, and generous nature. She found her greatest joy in being with her family, especially her six grandchildren. As a young tomboy, she grew into a strong woman who loved making holiday dinners, playing cards, engaging in various crafts, and especially baking. Her specialty birthday cakes were a true expression of her love.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, John Ladd Sr. and Myrtle Ladd, and her siblings: Opal Jones, Jesse Branham, June Skinner, Brenda Branham, Lucille Ladd, and George R. Ladd.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Russell Bailey; her children, Christopher Bailey (Dawn) and Rachael Watkins (Geoff); her grandchildren, Grant, Katherine, and Connor Bailey, and Logan, Cayden, and Adam Watkins; her brother, John Ladd, Jr. (Ilene); and many other loving extended family members and beloved friends.
Friends may call from 1 PM until 3 PM on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Flanner Buchanan – Floral Park (425 N. Holt Road, Indianapolis), where her funeral services will follow, beginning at 3 PM. Donna will be laid to rest in Floral Park Cemetery.
