Harlow J. (Schlenker) Bailey, 88, of Longswamp Township, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Allentown. She was the widow of Dale D. Bailey, who died May 5, 2012.
Born in Longswamp Township, Harlow was a daughter of the late Lester L. and E. Alverta (Meck) Schlenker. Mrs. Bailey was a member of Zion's Union Church of Maxatawny. She was employed as a shipper at Day-Timer, Macungie, for 13 years, until her retirement in 2000. Prior to that, Harlow was employed as a sewer at Royal Manufacturing, Alburtis, for 34 years.
In her younger years, Harlow enjoyed going dancing and to hoe-downs. Most recently, Harlow enjoyed watching her favorite game shows and Hallmark and Lifetime movies. She was also a member of the Topton Senior Citizens.
Harlow is survived by her sister, Audrey (Schlenker), widow of Richard Leibensperger; brothers, David, widower of Mary Jane Schlenker, LaVerne, husband of Veronica Schlenker and Terry, husband of Brenda Schlenker, all of Mohrsville; nieces and nephews, LuAnn, Julie, Kermit, Sherry, Tammy, Jeff, Angie, Chad, Trent, Kevin, Jason, and Jared; and their families.
Along with her husband and parents, Harlow was predeceased by her sister, Wanda (Schlenker) Zierdt and brother, Ronald Schlenker.
A funeral service to celebrate and honor Harlow's life will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, PA, with The Reverend Melissa A. Burkhart officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, Maxatawny. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
The family requests contributions be made in Harlow's memory to Zion's Union Church, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, PA 19530.
