Donna of Bourbonnais, Illinois (former wife of Paul M. Banks) passed away on July 8, 2025

Born October 12, 1938, she is survived by her three daughters; Beverly (husband Bulent) Kimberly, Elizabeth (husband Hector) and her sister Debbie (husband Chuck) who she raised as a daughter after the death of their mother.

She will be missed terribly by all that were close to her, including her grandchildren Max and Sara. Always an encouraging positive presence in their lives her grandchildren brough her much joy and happiness as she watched them grow and thrive through the years.

A warm, quick witted, intelligent woman she enjoyed the theater, art and a wide variety of music ranging from Italian tenor Pavoratti to Elvis. She loved reading mystery books.

After her children were grown she enjoyed traveling with them to new places; such as Italy and Ireland. Favorite destinations being Colorado and her bucket list trip to Australia to meet her cousin in person after years of corresponding by mail. A highlight of her time there was taking a hot air balloon ride.

An avid gardener throughout her life, she at one time won a local award for her garden and yard design.

To sum up our mother's life in an obituary column is next to impossible as she was a one of a kind treasure who is leaving us all with years of great memories and laughter and the privilege of having had the best mother anyone could hope for!
