Donna E. (Freehling) Beer, 73, of Lower Burrell, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 7, 1952 in Natrona Heights, a daughter of the late Clarence Samuel Freehling and Alberta (Carrier) Freehling Reamer. She was a graduate of Freeport High School and Duquesne University, receiving a degree as a medical secretary. She worked for Dr. Gollam, Henry Miller Spring, Papercraft and retired after 18 years from Presco as a head secretary. Donna was a lifelong member of the Zion Methodist Community Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowers cooking and camping. Her favorite song was "I will always love you" by Whitney Houston. She is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Beer, who she married October 8, 1988, her sister, Diane (Jerry) Beckwith of New Kensington, a brother, Samuel Dennis Freehling of Sarver, nieces and nephews, Lyndsay Freehling of Lower Burrell, Lorrie (Raj Mahabir) of Hempfield Twp., and Shawn (Lisa) Hicks of New Kensington. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers in law, Charlotte Henley of Apollo, Joyce Bastin of Ohio, Doris Doerr of Sarver, Barbara Beer of Sarver, Pam Goldstrohm of Sarver, Nancy Kolek of Lower Burrell and Donald Beer of Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her niece, Pamela Nicole (Hicks) Woodruff, nephew, Scott Freehling, brothers in law, Jim and Darl Beer and her in laws, Florence Clark and James Beer. Friends will be received on Monday, August 25, 2025 from 10 am – 1 pm at the Zion Methodist Community Church, 438 Bear Creek Road, Sarver. A funeral service will follow at 1 pm with Rev. Seth McClymonds, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow at Sarverville Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Zion Methodist Community Church, 438 Bear Creek Road, Sarver, PA 16055
