Donna Gish Bowman, 69, of Yadkinville died unexpectedly on the afternoon of Christmas Eve 2025. God must have needed another Christmas angel. Donna was born in Little Falls, MN to Donald and Dorothy Gish on October 14, 1956. Donna cherished her family and adored her granddaughter, Mackenzie. Donna loved the beach, Peanuts with her favorite character being Snoopy, along with watching all sports especially Oklahoma Sooners football, “Boomer Sooner”. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, she always looked forward to decorating, going to the Christmas parade, and celebrating with her loved ones. Donna was blessed to have been an eight year lung cancer survivor.
Donna was preceded in death by her father, Donald Gish. She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Bowman Murphy, “son”-in-law, Kenneth Murphy, granddaughter, Mackenzie Gray Hauser, mother, Dorothy Martin Gish, sister, Linda Gish (Mike Hinson), sister, Janet Bartlett (Norman), nephew, Luke Bartlett and niece, Leah Bartlett.
Honoring Donna’s wishes, the family will have a private service at a later date. Any memorials may be made to the Yadkinville United Methodist Church (general fund).
