Donna Brigette Brown, born April 22, 1961, to James Chenier and Mary Lee Brown. Donna was the eldest of five children. She was raised in Houston's 3rd Ward community. Donna met Oscar Cruze in 1986, and their devoted marriage brought warmth and strength to her days. Oscar faithfully cared for Donna, embodying the loving support that defined their life together.

A cherished gift in Donna's life was her son, Terrice M. Brown, who stood at the center of her joy. She cared for him with a boundless, unmatched tenderness.

Donna pursued studies to become a medical assistant but chose the path of a homemaker, dedicating herself to those she loved. She embraced her faith early on, confessing her love for God and serving in the choir at New Guide Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor J.P. Hubbard.

Donna was a jokily, loving, and caring person who cherished good times and laughter. She enjoyed gatherings and celebrations yet also valued her personal space and moments of quiet. Her warmth, generosity, and spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by:

Mary Lee Brown (Mother), James Chenier (Father), Terrice M. Brown (Son), and Brodrick A. Chenier (Brother)

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Husband: Oscar Cruze; 2 Brothers: Joseph Brown & James Chenier; 1 Sister: Marsha Chenier; 2 Nieces: Ri'Anna Hamilton & Alysha Chenier; 2 Aunts: Lillian Hall & Betty Bynum; 1 Uncle: George Chenier and a host of relatives and friends.

Donna was a mother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin and a friend to many. To some she meant the world, to others she can't be forgotten, but to all, she will be missed.
