Donna (nee Drake) Clark, 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 22, 2025, following a brief stay in hospice care at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, MO.

Donna was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She was the beloved daughter of the late Bill and Anne Drake, and cherished sister to Pamela Conklin and Cynthia (George) Myers. Donna was the devoted wife of nearly 50 years to the late Gary A. Clark, and the proud mother of Jonathan (Robyn), Kevin (Julie), and Laura (Michael). She was a loving and doting grandmother to Emma, Matthew, Jack, Vince, Olivia, Madison, Miles, and Henry. Donna was also a beloved aunt and caring friend to many.

Donna’s passions were her children, grandchildren and education. A graduate of Central Methodist University she began her career as an elementary school teacher in the St. Louis area. Shortly after her career began Donna met and fell in love with her future husband, Gary. She devoted the first 13 years of her marriage to raising her children at home while also serving her community. She was an active member of the Pinch Hitters, a charitable organization supported by the wives of St. Louis Cardinals baseball players and wives of the local media. Donna also served in various lay leadership roles at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Florissant.

Donna later returned to the classroom spending 23 years at Lawson Elementary where she taught 4th & 6th grades and kindergarten. She was deeply proud of her students and inspired them to reach their full potential academically and personally. An avid conversationalist and excellent listener, Donna had a way of making you feel as if you were the most important person in the room. She will be remembered for her devotion to family, her passion for education, and her kindness to all who knew her.
