Dear Stephan, Benjamin, Tim, Sharon, Mrs. Carroll & Extended Family - Please accept my most sincere condolences on the passing of Donna; I am so deeply saddened by this news. She was a dear friend, generous and kind. I was in Henrico High School's Class of 1981 - I was Karen Jones then - & Donna & I became friends on our neighborhood's school bus (Tim, I also knew you from the bus, as well). Until I was old enough to drive to school, Donna & I enjoyed our bus rides, talking about our days and sharing what books we were delving into outside of school assignments. The same year that I first had the opportunity to get to know her, Donna & I also shared a lunch period, enjoying a group of mutual friends. At some point while a student at VCU, I had the pleasure of running into Donna while out shopping & we spent about an hour catching up. It was wonderful to see her, & I profoundly regret that we did not keep in touch. Please know that my family & I are praying for your family & sending you wishes for comfort. I will always remember Donna; it was an honor to know her. - Kind regards, Karen Jones Cheek & Family (Glen Allen, VA)
