Donna Marie (Ringer) Claseman, 78, of Dover, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025.
Born on July 23, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, Donna was the beloved daughter of the late Perry Hayden Ringer and Catherine Neilsen Ringer.
Donna proudly served as a WAVE in the United States Navy from August 1964 to March 1967, an experience she cherished throughout her life.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 33 years, Charles Claseman, who passed away in 2010. She was also predeceased by her brothers David Ringer, Robert Ringer, and Hayden Ringer.
She leaves behind her family including her brother Richard Ringer and his wife Julie of New York, brother Charles Ringer of Maine, and sister Debra Walfield and husband Brad of Maine.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Denise Helander and husband Carl of Dover, NH, and Catherine Boucher and husband Wayne, also of Dover, NH.
Donna was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren, all of Dover, NH: Sydney Boucher, Teagan Boucher, Bryce Boucher, Shelby Boucher, Carl Helander IV, and Abbi Helander. She loved her grandchildren dearly and loved to brag about them.
She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews including Joshua Ringer, Elizabeth Ringer, Zachary Ringer, Richard Ringer Jr., Bobby Ringer, Elizabeth Walfield, and Christopher Walfield.
Throughout her career, Donna worked as a bookkeeper and loved working with numbers. One of her favorite positions was at The Works in Somersworth, where she engaged with families and children. She was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord Jesus Christ. In her free time, she enjoyed going to tea, reading mysteries (with a fondness for Nancy Drew dating back to her youth), and collecting various treasures, always enjoying the hunt. Most of all, she loved being
with her family.
Donna was an animal lover and particularly enjoyed spending time with her many "grand dogs" and loved sitting and watching the birds.
Her final years were spent at the Residence at Silver Square in Dover, NH, where she was lovingly cared for by the staff.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Purdy Funeral Home, 655 Central Avenue Dover,
NH 03820 with visiting hours from 11:00 am to noon. The funeral service will begin at noon.
Donna would want you to rejoice with her that she is now at home with her family and her Lord, Jesus.
