Donna A. Condello

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna A. Condello, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Donna left this world peacefully on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, at the age of 77, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on Friday, October 24th, 1947, in Batavia, Donna spent her entire life in the community she dearly loved. She dedicated herself to her family and her community, leaving a legacy of love, service, and dedication. Donna was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Frank "Shorty" Recchio and Lena Avino Recchio.

On April 25, 1970, Donna married the love of her life, Gerald P. Condello, with whom she shared 55 beautiful years. Together, they raised two sons who continue to honor her legacy: Jerry (Molly) Condello and Jason (Maeling Wong) Condello, both of Batavia. She was the proud grandmother of Jayce Condello, who was her absolute joy. Donna leaves behind her brother, Joseph (Michele) Recchio of Chicago, Illinois; her nieces, Leah (Shawn) Recchio and Marissa Recchio; a great-niece, Maisie Recchio; and a great-nephew, Jack Recchio. Her family and friends will forever cherish her memory and the warmth she brought into their lives.

Donna's career at John Kennedy School in Batavia was marked by dedication and compassion as she served in various roles. Her commitment extended beyond her work, as she was an active member of St. Joseph's Church and deeply involved with the St. Jerome Hospital Guild. Donna's passion for her heritage and community was evident in her membership with the Paolo Busti Cultural Foundation. Additionally, she tirelessly advocated for CASA for Children, always seeking to make a difference in the lives of children.

A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Donna's life will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025 at 9:30 am at St. Joseph's Church, 303 East Main Street, Batavia. Following the Mass, her ashes will be placed in the Garden Niches at St. Joseph's Mausoleum.
