Donna Mae Cox, 65, of Bellefontaine and formerly of Mississippi, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, after a long battle with lung cancer. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 26, 1960, to the late Donald M. and Maudale (Dennis) Seger. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Terry G. Seger and her twin brother, Doyle R. Seger.
She leaves behind her daughter, Melissa M. Darner of Bellefontaine; son, Michael “Jason” (Susan) Seger of Trenton, Ohio; grandchildren: Michael Devan Seger, Nathaniel B. Seger, Alexis N. Seger, Chance S. Darner, Deston J. Darner, and Gabrielle S. Seger; great grandchildren: Isabella S. Seger and Carter G. Seger; brothers: Teddy L. Seger and Keith D. Seger; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donna was an avid reader and enjoyed watching judge shows. She loved her family deeply and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
There will be a celebration of life for Donna on January 24, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Shiloh Baptist Church, 795 Highway 532, Mount Olive, Mississippi 39119.
