Donna J. DeMott

OXFORD - Donna J. DeMott, age 65, of Oxford, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2024 at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born on June 8, 1958 in Milwaukee to Dale and Verna (Bengsch) Peterson.
Donna was a 1976 graduate of Wisconsin Dells High School. She then went on to study at the Milwaukee College of Beauty Culture until 1977 and continued at MATC – Madison Barber School until graduating in 1981. Donna then married Dean DeMott on June 27, 1981 in Briggsville. After they resided in Oxford on Dean's family farm.
Donna found her love in raising her family. After getting married and having their first child in 1984, Donna became a stay at home mom and devoting wife. Donna had recently revisited her love for fishing and spent as much time as possible on various lakes all summer long. She also enjoyed various card games, sudoku puzzles, and jigsaw puzzles.
Donna is survived by her husband, Dean; two daughters: Sheena (Jake Moody) DeMott and Brittany DeMott; six grandchildren: Cheyenne, Wyatt, Dirk, Emersyn, Lily and Chloe; brother, Dean (Tracy) Peterson; uncle, Donald Bengsch; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Verna Peterson; brother, David Peterson; father and mother- in-law, Duane and Dawn DeMott.
A memorial service for Donna will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 12:00 noon at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home in Westfield with Pastor Brenda Pulver officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in New Chester Cemetery at a later date.
