Donna J. Diehl

Donna Jean Diehl (Guilzon), 82, of Germantown, departed this world July 16, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Coxsackie before moving to Germantown where she spent her years with her husband and family overlooking the Catskill mountains. Donna loved Jesus, volunteering her time in service of the community, playing the piano, being the organist for multiple churches, a good cup of coffee (especially from Dunkin), and music with a strong bass line. She created and organized several charity organizations, including the town Thanksgiving Dinner and Christmas Cantata, served as a Germantown council member, and was a devoted matriarch. She is survived by her four daughters: Charlene Diehl, Darlene Weed, Tobyjean Marzahl, all of Germantown and Vernea (Jim) Razanousky of Coxsackie, her brother: George (Janet) Guilzon of Diamondhead, MS, her grandchildren: Kalie Weed, Courtney Weed, Nicholas Weed, David Marzahl, and Trevor Razanousky, her great-grandchild: Samaya Diehl, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, William Guilzon and Verna (Mambert) Guilzon, her husband of 52 years, Oliver "Toby" Diehl, and her beloved granddaughter, Jennifer Marzahl. As described by her loving husband, Donna was "always on the run" and touched the lives of everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by her friends, family, and community. Calling hours are 10am-12pm on Wednesday, July 23rd at the Gospel Community Church of Coxsackie. Services will be at 12pm at the church. Interment will follow in the Reformed Church Cemetery of Germantown.
