Phyllis Gragg went home to be with her Heavenly Father on October 13, 2025, at her residence in Burlington, North Carolina. She was born and raised in Clayton, Georgia.
Phyllis dedicated over 50 years to a lifelong career in nursing, serving in numerous hospitals and nursing homes across several states. She had a deep and unwavering faith in God, having grown up in the church where her father served as a Baptist minister.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Donald and Dovie Gragg of Lakemont, Georgia; her sister, Gail Gragg Little; and her twin brothers.
She is survived by her daughter Angela Key (Kenny) and her special grandbaby, Danielle of the home; and grandchildren, Kenzie Worley (Joel) of Clayton, GA, Mikel Worley of Clayton, GA, Haley Terrell (Chad) of Burlington, NC, and Haizley Jones. She is also survived by one sister, Rena Faye Carpenter and her husband Ervin of Lakemont, GA; a special cousin, Lynn Evans of Lake Butler, FL; along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 17, 2025, in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home, with Rev. Thomas Burrell and Anthony Worley officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Lakemont, Georgia.
