Donna Griego, 65, passed away in her home August 17, 2025. She was surrounded by her daughter, Angela and granddaughters, Amilia and Alisha. Donna was born on October 10, 1959, to Donald Steinmetz and Betty Lieuallen in Greeley, where she attended public schools.

Donna met the love of her life Allen Griego on April 10th,1983 and were together until his passing 10 years ago. They happily raised four children together in Greeley. Donna worked as a secretary and delivered newspapers, as well as being a homemaker for her husband and children. She enjoyed making crochet blankets for her grandkids, cooking with her daughter on holidays, and being outside with her husband. Donna was a lifelong Denver Broncos fan who would watch them play for years and years. She grew close with her great-granddaughter, Avery, and would watch Bluey or Sesame Street together. Avery loved her "GG" and always kept her on her toes.

Donna is survived by her parents, Donald Steinmetz and Betty (Virgil) Lieuallen; daughter, Angela (Tony) Lechuga; sons, Allen (Nicole) Griego and Anthony Maes; her grandchildren, Alisha, Amilia (Mikal), Alexis (Oscar), Sharalyn, Terretio, Adriana, Anthony, Allen, Anastasia, Armani and Addelyn; brothers, Donald (Michelle) Steinmetz and Duane (Greta) Steinmetz; life-long best friend, Terri Duca; step-siblings, Diane Newerburg, Roxie Allen, David Lieuallen and Lanette Lieuallen; as well as many great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Allen; sister-in-law Deb; and her son, Mark.

A service will be held on Tuesday, September 9th at 11am at Adamsons, with inurnment at Linn Grove Cemetery to follow. We will have a reception after at 620 27th St Rd in Garden City.
