Donna Diane Grunder, age 63, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on August 13,2025, after a long battle with cancer.
Diane was born on October 30, 1961, in Hinton, WV and grew up in Massillon, Ohio. She was a Massillon Washington High School graduate, class of 1980.
Diane was a strong, resilient, tenacious, loving, supportive, and full of life woman. Diane had the ability to make anyone she met feel welcome and at home. She loved to laugh and have a good time but, she loved nothing more than her family.
From shopping and time spent with her best friend and sister, Debbie. To camping with her life partner, Tom, and rocking on the porch in their rocking chairs while the wind chimes danced in the wind.
She loved to cook and bake with her son, AJ, and taught him to pour love into each dish they made together. Every holiday and get together was filled with love, laughter and full belly’s thanks to that duo in the kitchen.
She didn’t miss a chance to cheer on the Tigers on a Friday night and Buckeyes on Saturday! She shared that love of football with her son, Bo, and was always in his corner. From being his biggest fan as he played for the Massillon Tigers or traveling to watch him play in College, she was always cheering him on.
She was a proud grandma to her two grandchildren, who she adored and loved dearly, and spoiled beyond measure.
Diane had a strong work ethic and retired in 2023 from the JM Smucker Company after 25 years of service. Prior to that she was employed by RW Screw Products Inc. for many years.
Diane will be deeply missed by all who knew her and the light she brought into everyone’s life. Despite fighting cancer for many years, she was always pushing a positive outlook and a will to never give up.
Proceeded in death by her parents, Mary A. (Lucas) Farley and Franklin D. Farley and Nephew, Matthew Bonner.
She is survived by her children, Anthony (AJ) Grunder and Bo (Paige) Grunder; her siblings, Debbie (Bob) Bonner; Dan Farley; Todd (Julie) Farley; Life partner, Tom Trogdon; Grandchildren, Elliana and Rome Grunder and many other loved ones.
