Donna Banner Hartzell went to the Lord's house on September 16, 2025 after battling a brief illness.

Born in 1948 to Denis and Callista Banner of Shippenville. She was one of 7 children.

She was a 1966 graduate of Clarion Area and graduate of St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in New Castle. She worked as an RN in several Erie hospitals and nursing homes during her career. She married Ronald Hartzell in November 13, 1971 at St. Michael's Church in Fryburg. They had 53 wonderful years together.

Together they had two girls Kimberly (Damon) Yourchisin of Plato, MO and Kristen (Edward) Zaborowski of Berryville, VA; 5 grandchildren Autumn and Bella Yourchisin, Mackenna, Noelle and Trent Zaborowski, of which she was very proud. She is also survived by sister-in-law Linda (Miller) Banner of Shippenville; siblings Larry Banner (Sandy Hebing) of Fairlawn, OH, Jack Banner of Erie, Patti (Mario) Scutella of Erie, Rosie (Tim) Amsler of Shippenville, Dotti (Frank) Whitmer of Parker and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Denis, mother Callista, sister-in-law Lea Ward Banner, older brother Thomas Banner, nephew Joseph Thomas Banner, and niece Holly Ann Banner.

She will be remembered for being a lovely person, a pumpkin pie maker, and a wild flower and sunflower grower with the help of her dog Marley! She enjoyed parties at the pond and hosting Christmas at the cabin with her extended family.

Friends and family will be received from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, September 19, 2025 at the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory Inc: 330 Wood St. Clarion, PA 16214. The burial will be private.
