Clark Funeral Home and ChapelMrs. Donna Jean Newsome Harvey, age 75 of Powder Springs, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, just days before her 76th birthday. She was born on October 17, 1949, in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of the late Sidney Lanier Gibson and the late Frances Croker Gibson.
She had a successful career as a hair stylist, proudly working for herself. Her passion extended beyond her profession, as she cherished her family, friends, and her beloved Scottish Terriers, who brought so much joy to her life. Donna was a member of the Youth Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Harvey; daughter, Britini Nicole Cooper; and her oldest brother, Ronnie Shipp.
Survivors include two sons, Brandon Newsome and Ron Newsome, and their families; two daughters, Tammy and Missy, and their families; two brothers, Mike (Cynthia) Gibson and Sid Gibson, Jr.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial visitation for Mrs. Harvey will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Hiram.
