Donna Marie Hilton (Varney) of Sabattus Maine, passed away on October 13, 2025, after a long battle with chronic illness.

Donna was born on March 22, 1950, to Ruth Weare and William Varney. She was raised in northern New Hampshire and southern Maine along with her extensive family.

In 1985, she enrolled in training classes to become a Certified Nurse's Aide, graduating at the top of her class and being placed for referrals on the National Registry of Nurses. She went on to work as a private duty nurse for many years.

In 1987, she met the love of her life, Frank Hilton, and they went on to marry Nov 21st of that year. They were attending the same church and found a strong connection of love and faith. Throughout their 38 years together they built a life of love and raised their family in faith. Frank cared endlessly for Donna when she became ill, until her last day.

She was an avid reader, a passion she passed on to her children. She was also a writer. She loved to journal about her life and experiences and wrote an entire memoire of her life. She was also a seamstress for many years, making clothing from scratch for family and friends. Many projects were done without cost simply because she loved to give of herself.

Donna was known to be the life of the party always. She was extremely funny and loved to make others laugh and feel good. She was strong and resilient through life's many challenges and always projected grace.

What Donna prized most was her faith, her marriage, and her children. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Lewiston, Maine from 1982 until her last day. She loved her church family and enjoyed attending worship services for many years.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Rodney and Ralph as well as her sister Bettina.

She is survived by her husband Frank W Hilton, her daughter Brandy L Hilton, her son Chester ZK Hundrieser and son-in-law Kenneth Hundrieser of Chicago, IL, as well as sister Cheryl Macdonald and 2 brothers and one other sister.

Memorial Service will be held November 22, 2025 @ 11:00 AM at The First United Pentecostal Church 715 College St Lewiston Me.
