Donna Mae Hines (Sheets), age 85, of Jackson, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, under the loving care of her family. She was born on July 8, 1940, in Jackson, Michigan, to Elmer and Donna (Ora) Sheets.
Donna is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Patrick Hines; loving children Karen (Kent) Bliss and Brenda Loomis; cherished grandchildren Sarah (George) Plummer, Adam (Millie) Wasper, Rashel (Greg) Skinkle, Katelyn (Charles) Pritchett, Brooke Loomis, Stacey Bliss, and April Bliss-Austin.; dear great-grandchildren McKenzie Vanderpool, Austin Vanderpool, Maddy Wasper, Owen Wasper, Kameron Smith, Aiden Pritchett, and Jordan Pritchett; one sister Yvonne Woolwine; aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in passing by her son Patrick Hines, Jr.; parents Elmer and Donna Sheets; and several siblings.
Donna was a quiet and reserved individual who valued outdoor activities. She enjoyed camping and cherished spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren. Additionally, she appreciated visiting casinos as a leisure activity. She will be dearly remembered by all who knew her.
A funeral service to honor her life will be held at the Hampton Funeral Home (4204 Ann Arbor Road, Jackson) on Monday, September 15, 2025, beginning at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Matt Plott officiating. Cremation will follow the service. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service and Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home in Jackson.
