Donna Inman

Donna Inman, 77, of Frankfort, KY, passed away on January 4, 2026, after a brief illness.

She was born on July 21, 1948, in Louisville, KY to the late Jack Joseph and Helen Carta Abby.

Donna retired from the Kentucky Department of Corrections where she was recognized for outstanding service. She was known for her infectious laugh, sense of humor, peanut butter fudge, and Christian faith. Donna was a devoted mother who spent many days at the ball field; chaperoning youth events at church; attending various plays, concerts, and recitals; and cheering her children and grandchildren on in life.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her sister, Cheryl Ford; and nephew, Jerry Lee Ford.

Left to cherish her memory are Donna's children, Christopher Barnes (Susan) of Frankfort, KY; daughter, Melanie Inman Rivard (Ryan) of Louisville, KY; her siblings, Jack Abby (Margaret) and Pamela Ley (Tom) of Louisville, KY; her 9 grandchildren, Lorena, Isaac, Hannah, Joseph (Danielle Lucas), Katherine, David, Audrey, and Ryan Barnes; and Aria Truesdale; her dear friend, Connie Quire, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m., Friday, January 23, 2026, at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home, 312 Washington St., Frankfort, KY with Bro. Tom Denny officiating. Friends may gather from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Donna's memory to Meals on Wheels America.
