Rita "RiRi" Evans

Frankfort – Rita Lynne Evans, age 62, passed away at home on Sunday, March 1, 2026. Services will be held at Capital City Christian Church on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Jon Sutphin officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Ms. Evans was born in Russell, Kentucky on March 3, 1963, to the late Leonard Evans, Jr. and Maggie Lee Outlaw Musick. She retired as an executive assistant from Kentucky State University. Ms. Evans was a member of Capital City Christian Church, where she taught Pre-K children on Wednesday nights for 35 years. Her devotion to her family was exemplified by weekly family night dinners, family trips, and the unwavering support and love she showed.

She is survived by her sister, Denise Bingham (Clarence); brothers, Michael Johnson (Becky) and Steve Johnson (Linda); and loved by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and one great-great nephew.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Rick Johnson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Bingham, Chris Hould, Toby Daniel, Kyle Hould, T.C. Clarkston, Caleb Bingham, Cooper Bingham Faesy, and Corey Rogers.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Children's Church at Capital City Christian Church or Bluegrass Hospice Care.
