A Loving Mother and Warrior: Donna R. James' Legacy
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna R. James, a devoted mother, and a true warrior of faith. Donna R. James was a woman who faced many battles and challenges in life, always persevering with strength and courage. Though her struggles were often unseen by many, her children-Tashika, Therez, Ahkil, and Ali-witnessed firsthand the depth of her unwavering spirit.
She is now reunited with her brother, Ira "Poncho" James, and others who genuinely loved her. She leaves behind her younger brother, Eric "Peter" James, along with many grandchildren and one great-grandson. Her children, knowing she is now at peace, take comfort in knowing that Donna R. James will continue to protect and watch over them from above.
Donna R. James' love for her children knew no bounds, and she fought tirelessly for their well-being. She also found comfort in the company of her beloved cat, a cherished companion in her later years. Donna R. James' strength came from her belief in God, and though she fought hard to remain with her children, she now rests in God's embrace.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25th from 3-6pm, where friends and family will gather to honor the legacy of someone who truly lived in harmony with nature, love, and a sense of peace.
Professional arrangements are under the care and supervision of Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street, Elizabeth.
