Donna June Jarrett

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Donna June Jarrett. Donna passed away on August 24, 2023 at the age of 81. Donna and her husband lived in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, formerly of Dowagiac, Michigan, Westmont and Oaklawn Illinois. When she passed she was surrounded by her loving family, with her husband Jim holding her hand until the end. Donna was married to James Jarrett on February 25, 1961 for sixty-two wonderful years. She was a loving wife to Jim and a devoted mother to her children Lisa and Mark. She was a proud grandma to 5 amazing grandsons and a great grandma to 4 beautiful great grandchildren.
Donna Jarrett lived a full life; a life full of love and laughter and Donna sure did love to laugh. She loved to entertain at their home and had a true gift for home decorating and cooking many delicious dishes. Because of her love for home decorating and cooking, she became one of HGTV's #1 fans. Donna never passed up an opportunity to go shopping and one might say it was her favorite hobby; but her friends and family were her top priority. Her wonderful friends and extended family members are too numerous to mention but their love and support are greatly appreciated.
Donna loved her grandchildren deeply and was one of their best and loudest cheerleaders at their sporting events. In addition to spending time with her family and friends; Donna enjoyed helping others by volunteering at a hospital in Michigan for many years, tutoring children and adults that were less fortunate than she was, or working with those that struggled to learn the English language. Her love and compassion extended to all those who knew her and she will be remembered for her humor, and as one of her grandson's so perfectly stated: "she had a whole lot of sweet with a little bit of sass!"
Donna is survived by her loving and dedicated husband Jim Jarrett and her two children Lisa(husband Brian) and Mark (wife Kathy) and their 5 grandchildren Colin (wife Melissa), Kyle (wife Chelsea), Connor, Max, and Nate and 4 great grandchildren Eli, Kinsey, Kennedy, and Finley. All of whom will miss her dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 30th at Quentin Road Baptist Church (24126 N. Quentin Road
Lake Zurich, IL 60047). A visitation will take place from 1:00-2:30pm with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2:30-3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to Angels Grace Hospice, Oconomowoc, WI in memory of Donna Jarrett.
