Donna Tyrrell Juniet, 84, of Quitman, died on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman following a period of declining health. She was born on September 8, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Charles Richard and Margaret Brown Tyrrell. Mrs. Juniet was a homemaker and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Juniet of Quitman; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Becky Juniet of Orlando, Florida, John and Betty Juniet of Meriden, Connecticut, and Jerry Juniet of Tifton, Georgia; a granddaughter and her husband, Victoria and Sam Merchant; one brother, Richard Tyrrell. She was predeceased by a brother, James Tyrrell.
Donna had a lifelong passion and talent for crochet and crafts. She made many intricate and unique dolls, blankets, gifts, and decorations — most of her own design. Donna was also skilled in sewing. She sewed her own wedding dress and taught several of her nieces how to sew.
Memorial mass for Donna Tyrrell Juniet will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 12 noon at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. The committal will follow the service in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens Columbarium. A donation can be made in Donna’s name to the St Francis Center, https://osvhub.com/stjohnevang/giving/funds/st-francis-center, an outreach of St John’s Catholic Church, Valdosta.
