Donna Kay Lambeth, a beacon of love and selflessness, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2025, in Carthage, Missouri, surrounded by the family she cherished so deeply. Born on July 2, 1961, in Joplin, Missouri, the daughter of the late Lester and Wanda (Goodwin) Roland, Donna's life was a testament to the enduring power of kindness and the strength of familial bonds.
A proud graduate of Carl Junction High School in 1980. She married Les Lambeth and to this union three sons were born, the later divorced. Donna's life was characterized by her unwavering dedication to her family. She embraced the role of a farm wife with grace and tenacity, contributing to the fabric of her community through her involvement with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Carthage, Missouri. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her.
Donna's life was marked by the joyous laughter of children-her own sons, Brent Lambeth (Mindy) of Carthage, Matt Lambeth (Jennifer) of Stark City, and Randy Lambeth (Jessica) of Jasper, as well as her adored grandchildren, Karis, Jaren, Allison, Garrett, Grayson, Aiven, Isaac, Ava, Trevor, Michael, Dakota, Elizabeth, Haidyn, and Bennette. Each child was a precious gift to Donna, and she devoted herself to their upbringing with a love that knew no bounds.
Her siblings, brother Daniel Roland and sisters Delores Dermott, Diana Hughey, and Darlene McReynolds, will remember Donna as the heart of their family, a sister whose kindness and warmth were as constant as the North Star. Her presence was a comfort, her advice sought after, and her laughter a remedy to any sorrow. She was also preceded in death by a sister Debbie Hamel.
Donna's interests were a reflection of her love for her family. She found joy in sewing, a skill she passed down with patience and pride. Her hands, always busy, created not just garments but memories that would wrap her loved ones in warmth long after her passing. Time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, was Donna's most treasured moments, and she cultivated a garden of memories that will continue to bloom in their hearts forever.
As we bid farewell to Donna Kay Lambeth, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a woman deeply loved. Her memory will be cherished, her lessons remembered, and her spirit will continue to guide us. Though she has left this earthly realm, her light will never fade from the hearts of those who loved her.
Memorial services will be held at 5:30 pm Friday, October 10, 2025 at The Church of Later-day Saints in Carthage, Missouri.
