Donna Mae Erna Unger

Donna Mae Unger (Knoener), 83, passed away peacefully on December 7 th, 2025, at the Whatcom Hospice House in Bellingham, Washington. She is survived by her siblings Irene Ransom (Knoener), Roy and JoAnn Gadicke (Knoener), William and Jackie Knoener, Karl and Carol Knoener, and Arno Knoener Jr and Kristi Lynn; children Paul and Mary Jo Unger, daughters Jess and Denise (Unger) Torres and Mary Ann Unger and Annette LaBissoniere; and grandchildren Brianne Unger, Madison Unger, Stephan Torres and Cristian Torres. She was preceded in death by Isaac Unger, son of Paul and Mary Jo Unger.
She was the first child born to Arno and Viola Knoener. She grew up on the family farm in Plymouth, Wisconsin, graduated from Howards Grove High School and moved to Washington with her family in 1983, residing mostly in Kirkland, Washington. She was a member of the Washington Cathedral church in Redmond, Washington.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Plymouth, Wisconsin at a date to be determined later in 2026.
