Donna Kay Marr, 64, of Gobles passed away suddenly on December 16, 2025, at her home.
Donna Kay Marr was born on August 10, 1961, to Lee Roy and Shirley Marr, who preceded her in death. Donna was the heart of her family and a steady source of love, comfort, and laughter to everyone who knew her.
She was a devoted mother to her sons, Allan Slater (wife Rebecca) and Jason Slater (wife Debra). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Avery (Colby), Aiden, Andrew, Sophia, Abigail, Madison (great-granddaughter Iris), Kaylee, and Lindsey.
Donna was also a loving stepmother. She was preceded in death by her stepson, Russell Phillips (wife Brook). Russell’s son, Donna’s grandson’s Brandon Phillips (wife Amberly), Wyatt and Brandon’s children-Waylon, Oakley, and Riggin-were her beloved great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by stepsons Jeremy Phillips and OJ Phillips his sons- Donna’s grandsons, Zaiden and Lane.
Her brother and sister David Marr and Pamela Hild survive her as well. She was preceded in death her brother, Donald Marr, and her sister, Terry Flores.
Above all else, Donna loved her grandchildren. Some of her happiest moments were spent sneaking off on “secret granny dates,” sharing laughs, stories, and creating memories that will be cherished forever. Donna found joy in the simple things-reading a good book, crafting with love, baking sweet treats, and shopping just for fun.
Donna will be remembered for her gentle heart, her kindness, and her compassion. She had a way of making people feel cared for and understood, and her warmth left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was truly a beautiful soul, and her love will live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her.
