McNamara (Crane)
Donna L.

After a long journey with Alzheimer's Disease, Donna L. McNamara of Rosslyn Farms peacefully passed away, with her family by her side, on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the age of 71. Beloved wife for 37 years of Patrick D. McNamara. Loving mother of Emily (Nicholas) Leckie, William McNamara, and Julia McNamara. Proud "Nana" of Weston, Wells, and Colson Leckie. Cherished sister of Gary Crane, Timothy (Rebecca) Crane, and the late Daniel (Laureen) Crane. Donna was known for her genuine kindness, vibrant spirit, and rare gift of making everyone feel at home. She delighted in bringing people together-whether at lively holiday gatherings, game-day parties, or through simple everyday gestures, like offering a listening ear or sharing a cold beer on the porch. She was happiest when caring for others-baking cookies to share, lending a hand to a neighbor, or volunteering in her community. Her life was a testament to kindness, gratitude, and community. Donna leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and friendship that will continue to inspire her family and all who knew her. There will be a private memorial service. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Donna's life on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Rosslyn Farms Community Center, 400 Kings Hwy., Rosslyn Farms, PA, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pittsburgh Botanic Gardens, 799 Pinkerton Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15071, or a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to the Hershberger-Stover Inc. Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 170 Noble Ave., Crafton.

My sister was a very special and loving individual. She was always smiling and lifting other people up. She had a special gift for making everyone feel like family. Her energy and personality were both admirable and addictive. I wish I could be half of the person she was. We were very close and her illness and death are devastating, but her perseverance and positivity will keep me striving to do better in my life.
Thank you Donna for everything you´ve done for me and my family. I will miss you ever day of my life

Donna was the most thoughtful, loving and compassionate wife, mother and sister anyone could ask for. Always in my heart.

Aunt Donna was also my God mother. I have many memories throughout my life with Aunt Donna. Some of my favorites are when she included me to go get their fresh Christmas tree, the kind you have to cut yourself. There was thermoses of hot chocolate and watching the Grinch stole Christmas when we got back. Getting $5 for my good grades. Swimming in the neighborhood pool. And as I got older commending my choice of husband. She always thiught Tim was "so handsome"
And of course if you were in Pittsburgh on Thanksgiving or Christmas day, you knew there was an Open invitation in Rosslyn Farms. There was always plenty of family, neighbors and pets around to love. She loved her Nittany Lions and her Girrafes and was just the heart of any room. She is missed everyday. Much love, Niece & cousin Amy
